Brynn attended Western Oregon University where she received her B.A. in Dance and performed professionally with Rainbow Dance Theatre, directed by internationally renowned choreographers Valerie Bergman and Darryl Thomas. Recently, she performed in Washington, D.C. with R.D.T. at the Kennedy Center for Nationals at the American College Dance Festival. She has also represented the United States, performing in Nagoya, Japan for the World’s Fair and performed for the American College Dance Festival for four consecutive years. Before pursuing her dance career, Miss Brynn was a CVDA Senior Performing Company dancer. Miss Brynn will be teaching Preballet, Creative Movement, Callanetics, and Modern. She has her certification for Callanetics. This is her third year teaching at CVDA. She also teaches the entire Ballet program at our McMinnville location and works in the CVDA office on Tuesdays. She lives in McMinnville.

 

Kristen has an extensive background in choreography including creating original works for performing companies, dance teams, musicals, theatre productions, talent shows, pageants, and competitions. Her choreography earned 10th in the nation at Rainbow Nationals. Kristen was the head coach for McNary High School Dance Team for two years where she turned the program around and gained much support and respect from the community. Miss Kristen is also a First Degree Black Belt and certified SHARP instructor. Her extensive training includes a year at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. Miss Kristen will be returning to CVDA for her third year. Miss Kristen taught Hip-Hop for four years before joining the CVDA faculty. In addition to teaching Competition Jazz, she will be taking over the Hip-Hop program. She lives in Newberg with her husband and two daughters.
